THIS IS A NEW SHOW QUALITY RALLY PACK & TACH SETUP THAT WE AT THE PARTS PLACE HAVE REPRODUCED. IT TAKES PLACE OF TELL TALE GAUGES. ONE UNIT GOES WHERE THE CLOCK WAS. IT HOUSES A TIC TOCK GAUGE WHICH IS A TACH WITH A CLOCK IN THE MIDDLE. THE OTHER GAUGE GOES WHERE THE FUEL GAUGE IS. THE NEW GAUGE SHOWS FUEL, OIL, AND TEMP. BOTH HOUSINGS ARE MADE OUT OF METAL. THE CLOCK HAS A QUARTZ MOVEMENT. ALL OTHER GAUGES HAVE TOP OF THE LINE MOVEMENTS THAT ARE VERY ACCURATE. THESE CAME FACTORY ON 1970 1971 1972 CUTLASS / 442 / W-30 / HURST OLDS CARS. THEY COMMONLY CALLED THIS SET-UP A RALLY PACK OR TIC TOCK TACH. THIS IS A SHOW QUALITY SETUP. ALL GAUGES ARE NEW AND CALIBRATED; TACH HAS NEW MOVEMENT. GAUGE AND FACE ARE METAL AND SILK SCREENED. HOUSING IS ALSO METAL.

THIS INCLUDES THE RALLY PACK INSTALLATION KIT WHICH CONSISTS OF TACH HARNESS WITH BRAIDED HOUSING, TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT, OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT, ELBOW FOR OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT, AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONVERTING.

 

TACHOMETERS WILL WORK WITH FACTORY GM POINTS OR FACTORY HEI IGNITION.

WHEN USING AN AFTERMARKET IGNITION SYSTEM LIKES MSD, ACCEL, PATRONIX, ECT.

A LOT OF THESE SYSTEMS GENERATES HIGHER OUTPUT VOLTAGE TO THE TACH LEAD THAN WHAT A FACTORY GM TACH CAN HANDLE.

FACTORY GM TACHS CAN OPERATE ON VOLTAGE RANGING FROM 11.2 TO 14.7

MOST AFTERMARKET IGNITION SYSTEMS GENERATE OVER 18 VOLTS.

YOU WILL NEED TO BUY FROM THE MANUFACTURE OF YOUR IGNITION SYSTEM AN ADAPTER TO LOWER THE VOLTAGE TO THE GM FACTORY VOLTAGE.
