ALTERNATOR CAP & RETAINER (BLACK) WE'VE NOW REPRODUCED THE ORIGINAL CAP AND RETAINER. THE RETAINER ATTACHES BEHIND THE ALTERNATOR POST LEAD. THE RETAINER IS COMMONLY MISSING WITH REBUILDS, OR A GENERIC WASHER WAS USED. THIS HAS THE CLIP END TO ACCEPT THE CAP. EACH RETAINER IS COLOR CODED THE SAME AS THE CAP; THE WAY GM DID. THIS IS A NICE DETAIL ITEM FOR YOUR RESTORATION. THESE PARTS ARE INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC, THE SAME WAY GM MADE THEM
